Planning your visit to Mysterious Room? Here you’ll find answers to the questions players ask most often – from choosing a room and making a booking to arriving at the venue and getting help during the game. Before you book
What is an escape room?
An escape room is a team adventure in which you explore a carefully designed setting, uncover a story, solve puzzles and complete your mission before time runs out.
It is not a quiz, and you do not need any specialist knowledge. Curiosity, teamwork and the urge to check one more drawer are usually more than enough. In each of our rooms, you have 90 minutes to become part of the story and see where it takes you.
Which room should we choose? Do we need any experience?
No previous experience is required. Both rooms are designed to welcome first-time players as well as seasoned puzzle solvers.
The Rebirth of Apuch is the gentler starting point: a cinematic expedition through the Yucatán, filled with ancient ruins and adventure. Magician from Muveszet district offers a medium level of difficulty and takes you into a world of theatre, magic, illusion and a criminal mystery.
Choose the story that appeals to you most. If the puzzles decide to put up a fight, your Game Master will be there to help.
How many people can play?
Our rooms are designed for teams of two to four players.
A fifth player may join either room for an additional PLN 50. Simply select the appropriate add-on when booking. A sixth player, even when convincingly disguised as part of the scenery, will still have to wait outside.
What is the minimum age? When is a Game Facilitator required?
The minimum age is seven.
Children aged 7–14 may play with a parent or legal guardian who also takes part, or with another participating adult authorised by their parent or legal guardian. Alternatively, they may play with a Mysterious Room Game Facilitator. The service costs PLN 150 per group for each room booked.
If no adult joins them inside the room, the appropriate consent form must be completed and a responsible adult must remain at the venue throughout the game. The Game Facilitator provides organisational supervision during the game but does not act as the children’s legal guardian.
Players aged 15–17 may play independently with consent from a parent or legal guardian.

Can we play in English?
Yes. Both The Rebirth of Apuch and Magician from Muveszet district are available in Polish and English.
Select English when booking, and the introduction, game materials and communication with your Game Master will all be provided in English. No knowledge of Shakespeare is required.
Do the games require physical fitness? Are there any health restrictions?
No special level of fitness is required. You will not need to use force or lift heavy objects, and the games do not involve physical restraint or strobe lighting. Your brain will be doing most of the heavy lifting.
If you have reduced mobility, sensory needs or a health condition that may affect your participation, please contact us before booking. We will explain what to expect and help you decide which game will be the better fit.
Booking and payment
Do we need to book in advance? How can we do it?
Yes. Mysterious Room is open only for scheduled games, so please book before you visit.
The easiest way is to use the booking calendar on our website, where you can choose the room, date, time and language of the game. You can also select any additional options available for your booking. If you need help, simply contact us.
A spontaneous visit to our Kabaty venue may sound adventurous, but it does not count as a booking.
Can we cancel or reschedule a booking?
An unpaid booking may be cancelled free of charge at least 24 hours before the game. If the booking was made on the same day, please cancel it at least three hours before the scheduled start.
A booking may normally be rescheduled once, provided that you contact us at least three hours before the game. The new date is subject to availability and must be confirmed by us.
Prepaid bookings cannot be cancelled for a refund, but they may be rescheduled once under the same rules. Sadly, even our best puzzles cannot make an empty slot disappear from the calendar.
How can we pay?
You can pay online through the booking system or at the venue by cash or card, depending on the option selected.
The available payment methods will be shown during the booking process. If you plan to use a voucher or the Warsaw Resident Card discount, please follow the instructions below.
How do we use a voucher or claim a discount?
Our current e-vouchers are valid for 12 months. To use one, provide its code when making your booking. If you have an older physical voucher, please contact us so that we can check it and arrange your game individually.
Holders of a valid Karta Warszawianki or Karta Warszawiaka (Warsaw Citizen Card) receive a PLN 40 discount on one booking. Choose payment by cash or card at the venue, enter the 11-digit card number in the booking notes and bring the valid card with you.
Only one such discount may be used per booking, and it cannot be combined with other discounts. Discounts do not merge into one magnificent super-discount.
On the day of your game
How early should we arrive? What happens if we are late?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled start time. This allows enough time for check-in, payment if required and a short introduction before the game.
If you arrive late, your game may have to be shortened. A significant delay may mean that we are unable to run the game at all, without a full or partial refund. The clock is part of the challenge – even before you enter the room.
Is parking available near the venue?
Mysterious Room does not have a private car park. Public parking spaces are available in the surrounding streets, but we cannot guarantee that one will be free when you arrive.
Please allow a little extra time so that finding a parking space does not become your first timed puzzle.
Do we need to prepare? What should we bring?
No special preparation is required. Wear comfortable clothes, bring your team and arrive ready to explore.
If your booking requires consent forms, a voucher or a valid Warsaw Resident Card, remember to bring the relevant documents or details. There is no need to study Maya archaeology or practise your stage magic beforehand.
Will we really be locked in? Can we leave during the game?
No. The rooms are designed so that you can leave at any time, regardless of how far you have progressed. They also have emergency opening systems.
Your game is monitored, and you remain in contact with your Game Master throughout the experience. If you need to leave, simply let them know. Being trapped forever is not one of the available endings.
What happens if we get stuck or do not finish the game?
Getting stuck is a normal part of an escape room. Your Game Master follows your progress throughout the game. If you need a hint, simply ask and they will send one through the room’s communication system. There is no prize for staring at the same puzzle for 40 minutes.
If the 90 minutes run out before you complete the mission, the game ends and your Game Master will guide you out. Not finishing is not a disaster – you still have time to agree on a more heroic version of events before anyone asks how it went.
